Who doesn’t like a bit of a treat now and then?
Steak provides lots of great protein energy, iron and is a real slow burner, so eat early! I paired this with new potatoes and salad to balance out the heavy meats. And ate vegan earlier in the day so I wasn’t over doing the proteins. But well worth it for this simple, tasty meal.

Instructions
- Wash and boil the potatoes until cooked through.
- Prepare the salad on the side of the plates, using whatever takes your fancy. The sweetness of tomatoes goes well with steak and provides a bit of colour but these are not essential.
- Heat a grill pan with a little olive oil and add the steaks. Turn over after 4 minutes or so do cook evenly through. You may prefer your steak to be more well done, I like mine medium so this timeline mostly works for me.
- Drain the spuds, add a little pepper and butter and serve with your perfectly cooked steak! Enjoy this simple, wholesome, filling meal!
