Who doesn’t like a bit of a treat now and then?

Steak provides lots of great protein energy, iron and is a real slow burner, so eat early! I paired this with new potatoes and salad to balance out the heavy meats. And ate vegan earlier in the day so I wasn’t over doing the proteins. But well worth it for this simple, tasty meal.

Instructions
  1. Wash and boil the potatoes until cooked through.
  2. Prepare the salad on the side of the plates, using whatever takes your fancy. The sweetness of tomatoes goes well with steak and provides a bit of colour but these are not essential.
  3. Heat a grill pan with a little olive oil and add the steaks. Turn over after 4 minutes or so do cook evenly through. You may prefer your steak to be more well done, I like mine medium so this timeline mostly works for me.
  4. Drain the spuds, add a little pepper and butter and serve with your perfectly cooked steak! Enjoy this simple, wholesome, filling meal!
